About Lloydesign
Lloydesign is owned by designer and maker Lloyd Stacey and is based in Stourbridge, the home of glass blowing and crystal. Lloyd has a background in design, starting his career as a graphic designer in major advertising agencies and design & marketing companies in the south of England.

After completing a furniture making course, Lloyd then trained in London with a furniture and cabinet maker whose approach was to combine hardwood and stone. He then completed further training as a carpenter. Following this he owned a successful business designing and making bespoke projects, anything from wooden cabins and summerhouses to fitted furniture and children’s playrooms.

He welcomes the complementary aspects of different materials, especially wood and glass and enjoys the formations that occur in nature. Materials stand up to scrutiny with an inherent beauty of their own and he is keen to minimise any further manipulation of them.

It is our hope that you will derive as much pleasure from owning a piece of our furniture as we have designing and making them.
