Mezera is one of a range of furniture that could have infinite permutations, something quite different to anything seen before. Mezera is shown with an ash shelf and turned legs, but its uniqueness lies in the glass top.

The shape has been water jet cut all the way through the glass and then it has been sandblasted on the underside. It may look fragile, but the glass has been toughened and is incredibly strong.
When the table is placed under a ceiling lamp the silhouette of the gecko is projected onto the wooden shelf.
In choosing the shapes I wanted to get away from the obvious. I also wanted to use shapes that are elegant and feminine to counteract the hard form of the glass.
In this case it’s a gecko, but it could be anything, from a cat to a kangaroo. Give us your suggestions and we’ll see what we can do. This could also fulfil a corporate need with a logo cut into the glass.
The gecko is available as a limited edition of thirty.
